A handshake
Before looking towards 2019, here are a few words on the year that has almost past. Despite coming from a small town, in the western part of Jutland, where elaborate words are uncommon, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all STARK GROUP employees.
2018 has been an incredible year. One that can only be described as having gone by in a whirl. We initiated a concentrated turnaround a year and a half ago. This year, we succeeded in turning our business around completely at a time when not everyone believed it possible.
During the turnaround, we embarked on the intense process of selling STARK GROUP, and the Nordic management group shook hands with our colleagues – metaphorically speaking. We made a deal: if you deliver the results, we will do our utmost to find the right owner for our company.

Only with the proper results could we find the right owner. Never once did you let our performance falter. An almost impossible mission and for that I owe a debt of gratitude to all my colleagues.

Your dedication, hard work and commitment to the professional builders allowed us to concentrate on finding an excellent new owner.
You achieved exceptional results in the Nordic market, winning market share with a focus on customer service. We are now delivering supplies to our customers with precision thanks to a stronger-than-ever supply and logistics set-up – and this is only the beginning.
I encourage you all to look out for each other as colleagues. By being part of a team, where we feel needed and respected, we can achieve every single one of our goals.
But most importantly, you are winning over the Nordic builders with your humble, yet professional attitude, building on a culture that is essential for our success. I feel nothing short of honoured to be heading such a strong team across the Nordics. As this year draws to a close, I am delighted that we overcame it all.
Neither a new direction nor a new strategy await us, rather a fine-tuning of what is already working with a new owner who wants to work with us and who is giving us the space to do what we do best: be the No. 1 supplier for professional craftsmen.
