Hands Across the Water June Update

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I wanted to take a moment to share an update on our Hands Across the Water fundraising efforts and express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support.?

As we enter the last couple of weeks of the financial year, we find ourselves still tracking behind our pre-covid fundraising levels despite our unwavering commitment and efforts from our dedicated team. Early indicators of our end of year financials reveal that we are facing a gap of approximately $300,000 which is largely attributed to the slow recovery of our charity bike rides in Thailand.?

I share this with you because we find ourselves stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand we understand and share the difficult circumstances that individuals and businesses are facing with rising costs, interest rates, and global challenges and on the other hand, we need to keep asking for support. Whether it be through a donation to our end of tax year appeal, attending one of our upcoming events, or putting your hand up to volunteer, every action counts and brings us closer to achieving our fundraising goals to continue providing our kids with a life of choice.?

Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no child is left behind. Once again, I express my deepest gratitude for your commitment to Hands. Your belief in the work that we do drives us forward even in the face of adversity.?

Take care

Claire
