Handling Rejections
Remember the time you got rejected by a boy or a girl and your friend said this to you, "He doesn't deserve you" or "she doesn't deserve you"?
Rejections are bitter and hard. They come as a blow and in no time, you would be questioning yourself where you had gone wrong and why it didn't work out. You get rejected for:
- Your physical appearance (this is the worst form of rejection - too short, too tall, too thin, too fat, black, brown, etc.)
- Your outward appearance (tattoos, covering head to toe, long hair, etc.)
- Being born in a place they don't approve of (yes, racial discrimination)
- Your grades
- Non-completion of your studies
- Inexperience in the field or area (very common)
- Career gap
- Etc., etc., etc. (You can add more here)
Go through the above again and do you really think you would be happy if you get employed by someone
- who disapprove of your appearance?
- who think you are not capable of working because you haven't completed your studies?
- who believes that you won't be able to do a job as efficiently as someone who has previous experience? (what happened to finding talent here?)
They didn't welcome you regardless of your color, race or religion. They didn't appreciate you doing two jobs back to back to look after your family. They didn't value your strength and passion that made you come back to your career and not giving up when you took a break to look after your dependents. They can't see your willingness or enthusiasm to learn and to be trained.
Are these people really worthy of all those tears and all those self-blaming you do all the time you get rejected? You were not given a chance because you are worthy of something bigger and better. As a friend who told you the same when you were in a relationship, "They don't deserve you" and looking back some day you will be glad they didn't take you.

4 年True. Importantly don't let those rejections as ur deciding factor. I was once rejected for my low grades, that too after 5 yrs of successful career.
