Handle Your Mistakes With Love

Growing up, I used to be that kid that always wants to get things right.

Like most you, whenever I make a mistake in my book, I try my possible best to correct it.

Often I use an eraser and even chalk to correct my mistakes.

In the worst-case scenario, I often tore my books because I want to correct the mistakes I made.

I have been struggling with this for a very long time until one of my school teachers showed me the way.

One day we had an impromptu mathematics test in the class.

Due to the limited time, I was in a hurry to finish well.

Sadly for me, I made a mistake. This time, I resorted to my traditional practice.

I felt a warming hand on my shoulder. When I raised my head, it was my class teacher standing there.

She said to me, do you have enough time to correct the mistake in this manner?

Just like in the words of Alexandra K. Trenfor, "The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don't tell you what to see"

I quickly drew a line to cross my mistake and moved on to write the correct answer.

What a big relief for me!!

This story will resonate with many of you.

There are people today who have been trapped in their mistakes.

They spend years trying to prove a point as a result of a mistake they made at a point in their lives.

This message is for you.

Just draw a line and move on.

Life is too short to be brooding over your mistakes.

You can always start again on another page. That is the power that you have.

Just like me trying to erase my mistake at all costs, I have come to terms with myself that some mistakes can't be corrected. Therefore, people will still judge your old-self with your mistakes.

But what I have that is my strength is that I can start again and live right. Therefore, don't let people make you feel bad about yourself. Whenever you make a mistake, kindly let go. Similarly, when others do something wrong against you, let go too.

There is no enough time to waste. Let live the remaining of our short life with love and gratitude.

So today, just cross the mistake and move on.

It is well
