Hampers for 2021 Summer Events. (Virtual, Physical or Cancelled!)
We seem to be entering another season of uncertainty, making it incredibly difficult to plan summer parties and events.
Here at The British Hamper Company, we’re an active team that like to plan team races and activities. Frustratingly our next 10k race and slap-up meal has been postponed for the third time.
We’re hearing similar stories from our business customers, with events either being cancelled or adapted to meet government guidelines.
Over the pandemic, we’ve worked quickly to meet the changing needs of our business customers.
We’ve helped a huge number of companies with hampers, as either an alternative to a cancelled event, an enhancement to an online event, or as a feature of a scaled down event.
Many events went online, so we created a range of Virtual Event Hampers that are designed with snack-style food and portion sized drinks – perfect for an online event lasting up to a few hours.
Other events went ahead, albeit adapted to the current government guidelines, and so we increased our Alfresco Hamper selection. For example, some companies held socially distanced picnics with each team member enjoying their own little picnic hamper.
And some events were cancelled due to the sheer size, so we helped them to send hampers as a gesture to all their let-down attendees – some of which were in the thousands. We made sure we maintained our fast, reliable delivery lead times.
So how does a hamper enhance your summer event?
An addition to your online event.
A huge proportion of us spend the week staring at a computer screen. Many of us are still sitting at the kitchen table with the one screen, a seriously uncomfortable chair, and an overly loud washing machine (or child) in the background.
The thought of spending a few more hours on the computer for an online event then seems somewhat underwhelming, migraine inducing and all too digital.
So, the inclusion of something physical enhances the event in more than one way.
Firstly, it improves interaction. Viewers have something to chat about, something to enjoy and it distracts everyone from that all too familiar awkward silence.
Secondly, it puts everyone in great spirits. A surprise gift to the door, how exciting! Suddenly, they’re waiting for the event to start so that they can dig into the hamper and settle into the event.
Thirdly, it leaves an impression. You can add your company branding to the hamper to reinforce the quality of your event. Our hampers are presented in reusable boxes or wicker, so it’s likely they’ll keep it for future use and remember the event fondly.
