I am on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River this Saturday, relaxing in Hamilton Park in Weehawken, NJ, before my early morning run. ????
Friends, I make it a point to visit Weehawken a handful of times each year to admire the beauty and uniqueness of this city, which includes breathtaking views of the New York City skyline and the Cliffs of the Palisades.
Weehawken is also where the duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr took place, known as the most famous duel in American history.
So after relaxing and exploring Hamilton Park for a little while, which fed my natural curiosity to observe and appreciate my surroundings, I was ready to get my jogging exercise in. Let's go!
It's worth mentioning that I decided to change my exercise routine a bit today, so before starting my run, I will be walking down the Port Imperial Stairway, which is sure to get my exercise juices flowing!
By the way, walking up or down the Port Imperial Stairway is not something you should do if you're afraid of heights. ??
As you would expect, I was dripping with sweat when I reached the bottom of the staircase, so I paused to wipe my face and then took a couple of sips of water ?? to ensure I remained adequately hydrated.
After drinking some water, I began to jog ???? across Port Imperial Boulevard via the pedestrian bridge illustrated below, headed straight towards Weehawken Park. Let's go!

Before I knew it, I was rolling into Weehawken Park, listening to Alicia Keys!
Once I completed my planned four-mile run, I went to the Hudson River Waterfront walkway to take a leisurely walk ???? and cool off.?
While walking, I suddenly felt an urge to journal, so I opened my iPhone journal app and started writing ??? this article.
It took me about 17 minutes to finish writing this article, and then I proceeded back to the Port Imperial Stairway.
I chuckled when I arrived at the stairway because I knew the hike back up to the top of the staircase wouldn't be any fun. LOL!
One last thing… after walking up the staircase, I was dripping with sweat again, so I had to sit on a bench to cool off before jumping in my SUV and driving home—the end.
Well, friends, that does it for this week's issue of my newsletter. As always, I enjoyed our time together.???
Have a fun weekend!
