Throughout 2024 HALT have partnered with some of the leading timber suppliers and distributors across the UK and Ireland to supply fire retardant timbers.

Brooks Bros Timber

Brooks Bros (UK) Ltd are one of the leading timber suppliers for responsibly sourced timber and value added timber products in the UK, and will be working with HALT to supply pre-treated fire retardant timber.

E & A Reclamation

E&A Reclamation have over 30 years experience in salvaging reclaimed materials, producing high quality products from sustainable sources. HALT are thrilled to begin this new partnership to supply pre-treated salvage timber. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do here at HALT, and this partnership strengthens our commitment to both sustainability and fire safety.

Construction Watch 2024

The HALT team attended this year's Construction Watch held by HomeBond.

Taking place at the Clayton Silver Springs, Cork, the full day conference featured leading Irish policy and building standards experts and stakeholders with talks exploring housing and residential construction solutions.

HALT General Manager Thomas Ferguson , Operations Manager Stephen Mc Cann and Sales Director Paul Byrne were on hand at the conference talking about the work we do here at HALT and our plans for the future.

Project Focus: The Leinster Hotel, Dublin

Reclaimed timber has grown in popularity in recent years, and it's no secret why. Not only is the use of reclaimed wood beneficial to the environment, it is more durable and adds a unique character and beauty to a project.

Located in the heart of Georgian Dublin, The Leinster hotel is Dublin's first luxury lifestyle hotel. The hotel is home to 55 rooms and suites, The Collins Club, a boutique gym and thermal suite, The O'Dwyer Suite event space and our main focus today - Jean-George's Rooftop Restaurant and Bar.

HALT treated a batch of Reclaimed Pine that was fitted throughout the spectacular rooftop restaurant and bar. Fitted by Pure Fitout , all of the salvage timber used for this project was treated by HALT at our Belfast facility and impregnated using Burnblock? . All timber achieved a Euroclass rating of b-s1,d0 - the highest possible rating for treated timber.
