Halma Acquires Sensitron (Italy), which specializes in Gas Safety Detection devices.

HALMA has completed the acquisition of Sensitron S.r.l.

Sensitron is a family owned and run business, based in Milan (Italy) and designs and manufactures a range of gas safety detection devices.

Gas detection is a space Halma knows well. The acquisition of Sensitron is a strategically important step to further strengthen our position in the global gas detection market in line with our purpose to grow a safer cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.

Increasing regulation is placing pressure on operators to detect gas leaks as early as possible to reduce safety and environmental risks. The Sensitron product line is complementary to the Sensit and Crowcon offerings, providing routes into new applications and markets with opportunities for all three companies.

Sensitron’s products are SIL certified, allowing us to further expand our footprint in Asia Pacific, specifically China. Additionally, Sensitron has a strong presence in the fast-growing new refrigerant gas detection market, which is facing increasingly demanding regulations.
