Halloween and Mentoring 1

Halloween and Mentoring 1

Part 1 #MentoringSeries #WaterForThought

Since this year has already “stolen” many events for us and especially for the little ones, I had to get out of my comfort zone and organize something for Halloween. While neighbours have gone the extra mile and put very creative decorations that kept N&M glued to the balcony window and while my husband’s family kept on uploading photos with great makeup, costumes and sweet spooky treats, I was lost...I had no idea what to do that evening…

It was late afternoon and I was still struggling to come up with something. What does one do when no solution comes? One (or I) eats :) I opened the fridge and my eyes fell on a garlic clove. That was it! This image has sparked the Halloween adventure. How? It's Simple. A brain chain reaction.

Link 1: I come from a faraway place called Romania. Transylvania is part of it, therefore we are well known to the whole world as the country of Vampires. To protect ourselves from vampires we have to eat garlic.

Intermezzo: In Romanian popular culture, as a kid, I have never heard of vampires, we had other spirits that trolled the grounds and made our hearts small and pushed us to seek protection in grandma’s safeguarding arms in the long winter nights when the world of stories would unfold in front of the fireplace.

To be continued.

Alina M. Coroian I didn’t think of that, But you are right. the whole is the sum of its parts and more. The mentoring journey is made of advancing one step at a time in the right direction.

Siddarth Das thank you! Hahha! Shall I reveal that I didn’t think of such cool ending to the story???

Interesting series Dr. Irina Miu. I look forward to reading more. Hopefully it ends with you mentoring some vampires while you dine on some garlic heavy dishes. Can't wait!

Alina M. Coroian yep, Irish had to bring vampires to Romania ??

I agree with our vampire knowledge being nonexistent. As for the garlic and mentoring, the only thing that comes to mind would be that each garlic clove is one step in the mentoring process. Each one representing one issue that the mentee is looking to “fix”/deal with/manage/find answers to. ??
