Halloween Ice Cubes
Still here? Just in time for Sip and Stir Chronicles: Tips and Tricks.
In this edition, we are going to look at Halloween Ice Cubes.
Having a Halloween party? Making drinks for your family? Today, I’ll show you how to create some exciting novelty ice for your Halloween gathering.
I recommend starting with basic pebble ice for Halloween drinks, so you can stack and layer the ice more effectively. See the first image below for how to layer ice to place a skull ice cube lower in your drink—looking out.
A simple way to make Halloween ice is by using silicone molds, which come in all shapes and varieties. Look for anything spooktacular, particularly skulls or monsters. You'll also want some medium spheres.
I've had great success online finding silicone ice pop molds.
A fantastic trick—especially for zombies or skulls—is to push a sour gummy worm into the head of the mold before adding the water. Once frozen, this will give the ice cube a "brain."
Another great trick is placing a stemless cherry in the bottom of a sphere mold. Once set, this will give you an eyeball, which, when resting on pebble ice at the top of a drink, looks perfectly spooky.
Nothing special, nothing complicated, but some great tips to make your drinks spooky and fun.
Enjoy!
