Sneaking in on the last day of the month with our October edition so we thought we'd treat you to some extra special pumpkins, no rotting flesh here.
The highlight of our month at PURPOSEFULLY BLENDED LIMITED was our #partnershippanel with Laura Lane and Amy Brocklebank . This month we focused on the Transformation pillar of our IMPACT??system, specifically how to go about creating a Learning Culture in a Global Organisation. We had great engagement on the #LinkedInLive with many questions and insights coming through from the audience. We particularly enjoyed the 'big tanker' analogy which was a great metaphor for explaining how you can achieve the all important sweet spot of ensuring that Learning meets the changing commercial needs.
We shared a variety of tips and experience that would be useful if you're still trying to understand the Learning Culture in your organisation or if you are wanting to give learning a greater platform than it currently has. If you missed the panel live you can watch it on replay or download the top ten key points here.
One of the things that came through loud in clear in the discussion was the effectiveness of 'informal learning' and creating opportunities for people to discuss their current challenges amongst peers. This is something we hear in the client, Learner Journeys that we enable, the Group Coaching and Action Learning Sets are often the most valued part of the overall programme and we know why: People want immediate solutions and support for every day things that impact 'the flow' of their work. There is obvious incentive to apply what you hear whilst it is still fresh and current in your mind.
Some people are lucky enough to have access to this kind of informal forum, for others it may not be something on offer through your organisation but that doesn't stop you from seeking it externally. In fact there are lots of additional benefits to accessing the hive mind of a group outside of your usual network.
