Hallelujah to the Lamb

God Morning Everyone,

2 Corinthians 2:14-16 (MSG) says; "In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. (NKJV - Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ ) Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life. But those on the way to destruction treat us more like the stench from a rotting corpse."

There is a Greek word in verse 14 that is translated always (in the MSG perpetual victory). That word is "pantote" meaning at all times, always, ever, evermore. In fact, it's used in the KJV some 42 times so it must be pretty important. Webster's 1828 Dictionary says in it's definition of always; Perpetually; throughout all time; as, God is ALWAYS the same. Continually; without variation.

The passage in Revelation 12:11-12 (AMP) speaks of two events, one when we are in Heaven and the other about our time on earth and our "perpetual victory" over the enemy. It says; "And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]. 12 Therefore be glad (exult), O heavens and you that dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in fierce anger (fury), because he knows that he has [only] a short time [left]!" 

The victory for the child of the Living God IS PERPETUAL AND FOREVER. When we get to Heaven, we will be singing a song of triumph over our enemies, death, Hell, and the grave. BUT WE DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT TO GET THERE TO CELEBRATE!!! Let me refer back to 2 Corinthians 2:14; "Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ."

Don Moen wrote and sang a song, several years ago, that says; "Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah To the Lamb. Hallelujah hallelujah By the blood of Christ we stand. Every tongue every tribe, Every people every land, Giving glory giving honor, Giving praise unto the Lamb of God." This is referring to a passage in the Book of Revelation, Revelation 19:1-2 (NKJV) which says; "After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, 'Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! 2 For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.'"

The great harlot is the Church that has gone astray and done the enemy's bidding not God's. Throughout history, factions of the Church have thought they were doing God a favor when they persecuted and martyred true Christians. "Foxe's Book of Martyrs" is full of such examples. "The Inquisition" of the Middle Ages came from the Catholic Church thinking they were suppressing heresy by doing these things. Unfortunately, the Church today is doing the exact same thing. I believe the only army that kills its own is the Army of God in today's society and throughout history. No other army casts stones at their comrades in arms. We major on the minors, (baptism, playing instruments in Church or not, once saved always saved, tongues, etc.), instead of coming together with the one thing that should unite us like no other, that being; Salvation is through Jesus and His victory at the Cross and the tomb, and our believing and receiving this, Romans 10:9-10. (Remember what Salvation means. Look up the Greek word "soteria".)

My encouragement to you, today, is to have you know beyond all doubt, GOD ALWAYS CAUSES US TO TRIUMPH over sickness and disease, lack, lack of self worth, relational issues, fear and anxiety, everything that would cause defeat for the child of the Living God. WE ALWAYS TRIUMPH THROUGH JESUS AND HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD AND NAME. Secondly, pray for our fellow soldiers, that they would come to the knowledge of who they really are in Jesus. As we come together as the MIGHTY ARMY OF GOD, we will be victorious over all and nothing or no one can stand against us.
