Anyone can do a half-arsed job at anything.
But there are things that you need a professional to do for you if you want them done right. If you don’t it can end up costing far more that getting it done right in the first place.

Let’s take recruitment.
·???????? You can post your own job advert and get loads of responses.
o?? Candidates from all over the world applying for your role.
o?? Candidates without the skills, knowledge or experience you are looking for.
o?? If you are lucky, you might get some people with the right skills, knowledge & experience.
But only 16%-20% of people looking for a role will see your advert (FACT).

·???????? You may use an ATS or AI engine to screen the 000’s of candidates & identify those it thinks, will be of interest. But many of these ATS or AI engine just look at ‘hot skills’ not the content.

·???????? You will get a CV of candidates and that’s all. A short profile and a list of jobs they have done in the past. It won’t tell you what their behaviour is like, or how they did something, or the benefits they delivered.

·???????? You must then put the extra rigor in, to understand these people and filter out those that are not suitable.

·???????? Then spend hours interviewing those that may be relevant, but time is money.

If you get it wrong and end up with a MIS or Bad hire it will cost so much, not just the wasted time, but wasted salary that you pay till they leave, or you have to let them go. It’s the disruption to the rest of the team and impact to clients and the business as well.

Use and recruiter to deliver the rigor in the selection process, qualify candidates and even provide a short video on the candidate or a behavioural assessment. You can get a short profile on each candidate before you waste time interviewing a butch of numpties that you should not of wasted time interviewing in the first place.

Get a recruitment partner to do all the leg work and take the pain out of recruitment process (a Professional) and spend your time just interviewing qualified candidates that are able and capable. You should be getting involved in selecting the best AAA rated person that will fit into the team, the culture and be the best fit for the company, ideally someone that will bring huge benefits.
