It’s time to reflect. After writing blogs every week for the last six months it is time to pause and look back at the last six months; what did blog writing teach me? What lessons would I share? Where do I want to go from here? What do you think? Questions I will answer in this week’s blog!
So, first and foremost it is crazy to see how quickly time passes. 6 months sounded like a long time when I first started, but looking back at it I realized that it has flew by.
Before I share the lessons I learned and what it means to me that I reached this ‘milestone’, I want to address the fact that you should always celebrate your own steps towards success, or at least towards doing something differently. If you did something, accomplish something, or continued to do something you should be proud of yourself. You should tell yourself well done and give yourself a compliment. It doesn’t matter how big or small. It is so easy to compare your achievements to someone else’s who already has achieved more, and therefore downgrading yourself. But please don’t! Start this day with giving yourself a compliment! You deserve one!
Back to the topic; blog writing and what it has taught me. The first lesson blog writing taught me is that you just have to do it. I failed many times, making lots of mistakes in my English. I was very doubtful and insecure about many blogs I wrote, but always decided to upload them anyway. Taking action is key towards success. You have to take action to see what you are good at, to find out what works and what doesn’t. And mostly; to fail and to learn. Thinking just won’t do the magic, it won’t get you where you want to be and it won’t do what taking action will. Alexander Graham Beil says it perfectly;

And that is the biggest lesson blog writing has taught me; learn by doing teaches you so much more than learning by thinking. Writing a blog every week made me think about activities I would do in a week. It made me think of doing things that would give me a different perspective, or rethink my old one in order to write about it. It made me come out of my comfort zone to learn new things about myself that I could share with you. Moreover, it made me do. It made me take action and reflect. It made me look at myself and think about myself and my development; what have I learned and where do I want to go? How can I be the best version of myself in order to inspire you? What can I do to contribute and help the people around me?
And that is what I have been trying to do; inspire and help you. My goal is to increase self-awareness and to make personal development content more approachable by sharing my lessons, struggles and experiences to help you learn and grow. To let you see the world differently and maybe rethink your own perspective, for the better.

So, what’s the future perspective? Where do I want to go next? These are good questions. I have been struggling with that quite a lot lately. I realized that there is an overarching theme, a concept if you’d like, missing in my blogs. The blogs don’t really connect with each other and are quite randomly written every week. I would like to focus more on certain aspects of self-awareness that have taught me a lot over the course of the last few years. These are the lessons that have transformed my life and hopefully will inspire you.
Therefore, I decided that I will focus more on the quality of the content, instead of the quantity. I will upload a monthly blog from now onwards, giving me more time to think about it. On every third Wednesday of the month; starting at Wednesday the 16th of May, I will upload my blog that will be focused on self-awareness. I am not going to spoil the details yet, since I have to figure them out myself too ;)
Before I let you go, I would love to get your feedback. What do you think of my blogs? About what do you like to read? What did it teach you? All the feedback is more than welcome! You can comment or send me an email; [email protected] . Thanks in advance!
To conclude, I would like to thank you for the support over the course of the last 6 months! I got some extremely nice messages that definitely kept me going at some points! Thank you and I truly appreciate you!I m

6 年My man! It is always good to focus on quality instead of quantity. Maybe it's a nice idea to set out a certain challenge for yourself during a month and reflect on it during your blog. It could increase your self-awareness and puts you out of your comfort zone for a limited period of time.
