LMC (Lennar's construction arm) is currently finishing up to podium levels on their massive Halcyon House project in the heart of Costa Mesa, California. LMC and Covi Concrete Construction chose the popular Integral Concrete Waterproofing system DriCrete. Better, Faster, (Easier) and Less Expensive than installing traditional bentonite panels and HDPE liners, they're using DriCrete. Supplied by Cemex and added in water-soluble, measured bags, the concrete they are installing CONTAINS THE WATERPROOFING. Yesterday, the second to the last mat/raft slab was placed; first two feet with a good plain mix, and the second lift with the DriCrete admixture integrally added to the same mix. On the mat/raft slabs, HDPE liners were eliminated. On the structural shotcete walls, Nationwide Shotcrete used a nice Cemex mix containing, again, THEIR WATERPROOFING - DRICRETE. The one-story subterranean will accommodate 750 parking stalls over almost 5 acres, and lay the foundation for 400 units and 4,000 sq.ft. of retail space. Covi's post-tensioned podiums will support five-story, luxury living at it's finest. DriCrete will help realize that saving weeks off the construction cycle and 100s of thousands of dollars - and end with a 20-Year Performance Warranty "...if it Leaks....We'll fix it!"
