As recruitment and HR leaders, we’re no strangers to technology promising to make our jobs easier. In the area of Conversational AI, the latest trend sees vendors championing Large Language Models (LLMs) as the ultimate solution, claiming they can handle it all — conversation design, intent recognition, even context management. But is that truly the case? Should we be entrusting such a crucial aspect of candidate experience to an LLM-driven solution without a second thought?
The world of recruitment has been in a constant state of flux for the past few years, but nothing has been quite as transformative as the rise of AI—specifically Generative AI—in the hands of candidates. The narrative has shifted rapidly from the cautious adoption of AI by HR professionals to the widespread, enthusiastic embrace of AI tools by job seekers themselves. But as we learned during the recent TA Disruptors LIVE event, this transformation has far-reaching implications for both employers and the candidates they seek to hire.
I was delighted to host the Innovation Showcase Stage at IHR Live London. As the host, it was my privilege to guide both the audience and our esteemed panel of judges through a packed day of presentations, pitches, and groundbreaking insights from some of the leading innovative suppliers in TA. It was clear from the moment I stepped onto the stage that this would be no ordinary event. The buzz in the room was palpable, with an eager audience and a roster of companies ready to showcase just how AI is transforming the recruitment and HR landscape.

There’s a bit of a frenzy in recruitment right now, isn’t there? You’ve probably noticed it yourself. Everywhere you turn, there’s chatter about Generative AI (Gen AI) and how it’s going to change everything. You’re being told it’s the next big thing—an absolute must-have in your tech stack. But before we all rush into integrating Gen AI into our recruitment processes, let’s take a moment to consider something fundamental: are our current processes in recruitment fit for purpose? Or, to put it bluntly, are we just plastering over cracks without addressing the core issues?

I continuously see plenty of downloads of resources, which is great. Here they are in order of popularity:
The PPLBOTS AI guidelines for Talent Acquisition - These guidelines are essential for HR and recruitment leaders looking to integrate AI into their processes effectively and ethically.

"It's such an awesome service for me. I love the opportunity to have you for an hour, and it's super cheap to get your insight. But you also get to stay up to date with what people are doing, what workflows people are trying to create, and what they're happy or not happy about."
That's all for now, folks.
