Hainan Province has introduced a "zero-tariff"
Hainan Province has introduced a "zero-tariff" policy to support the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and expand the scope of duty-free goods. The policy applies to medical institutions, medical colleges, and research institutes registered in the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone. These units can enjoy exemption from import tariffs and value-added tax when importing medicines and medical devices. Duty-free medicines and medical devices include both registered and Hainan-authorized varieties. Duty-free goods are for self-use only and cannot be transferred or taken out of the pilot zone. Violations will be penalized.
