Welcome to the March edition of The Hague Humanity Hub's monthly newsletter! If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, we hope that you’re enjoying the start of spring. This period has been very busy and exciting here at the Humanity Hub: in this issue, you will learn about our new Access to Funding, Digitalisation, and EmpowerSDGs programmes, and more.?

With Access to Funding and Digitalisation, our goal is to improve #fundraising and #cybersecurity skills among #NGOs working in the peace and justice community in The Hague and beyond.?

The EmpowerSDGs initiative plans to help students close the gap between academic skills and those required in the job market in the peace, justice, and sustainable development sectors. ?

Access to Funding

The?Humanity Hub is partnering with HVFC - Fundraising · Impact · Talent on a joint programme designed to strengthen the fundraising capability of the?humanitarian, development,?peace and justice?community in The Hague.?The programme will?empower the community, foster knowledge-sharing,?establish?new connections, and potentially?facilitate?collaborations and fundraising partnerships.

CyberSecurity Programmes

Cyberattacks on NGOs are increasing both in frequency and impact and despite being the second most targeted sector by nation-state threat actors, NGOs often don’t have the resources and capacity to properly secure themselves. To measure and address these challenges while working to build the capacity of the NGO sector in The Hague and in the Netherlands, the Humanity Hub has partnered with technical cyber expert organizations in two complementary projects:?Cyber?Secure?The?Hague?and?CyberResilience?for NGOs.?

EMPOWERSDGs

With?EmpowerSDGs?we aim to?provide?young professionals?with the knowledge and connections to build an impact-driven career to help achieve the Sustainable Development?Goals.?A growing number of students graduate?in?The Hague yet struggle to find a job due to a mismatch between their academic credentials and the needs of the?labour?market.?Recognising?this challenge, the? De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences Kenniscentrum Global & Inclusive Learning, Research group Multilevel Regulation, and The Hague Humanity Hub have teamed up?to develop a series of training courses aimed at filling this gap.?
