No haggis will be harmed...
Tomorrow we start our 50 mile hike in the Outer Hebrides to support my local Samaritans branch in Essex.
Why 50 miles? Because Shona Nicolson and I turn 50 this year.
Why the Hebrides? Because she's Scottish and it's on my bucket list.
Why £2,850? Because that'll keep my branch operating for 50 days.
With match funding, cash donations and the phenomenal support of friends, family, colleagues, Wates Group and even some people who I've never met, I'm within a gnat's whisker (well, £139) of reaching the £2,850 target.
If you have £10 you can throw in the pot, I'd be hugely grateful. You can donate here, and if you also Gift Aid, that'll increase £10 to £12.50 at no additional cost. So just 11 more doners needed!
And if you ever need someone to talk to, call us free on 116 123. We're open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
