Hacker Performed DDoS Attack on Security Researcher’s Website! See What Happened Next!

DDoS attacks are very common in this era of internet. It is not a new thing if a DDoS attack has been performed on a top website by the hackers. According to a blog post of NSA (National Security Agency), they are monitoring more than 100 Million cyber-attacks daily. Therefore to protect websites from cybercrime, Cyber Security is a must.  ETA (Electronic Tribulation Army) is a famous group of hackers. There are so many hackers in this group. One member of this group will spend his next 9 years in prison, because he performed a DDoS attack (Distributed Denial of Service attack) on the website “mcgrewsecurity.com”. A famous Cyber Security Researcher Wesley McGrew is the owner of this website. The name of hacker is Benjamin Earnest Nichols and he is 37 years old. He is a citizen of United States and he was living in Oklahoma City.

 FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) charged a case against Nichols under CFAA (Computer Fraud and Abuse Act). Due to the DDoS attack performed by Nichols, website owner have faced a loss of more than $8000.
