Hacker claims breach of FBI’s critical-infrastructure portal
Hackers are getting better at how to obtain sensitive data from businesses today. One hacker in Boston reportedly posed as the CEO of a financial institution. By doing so, he had access to the database of InfraGard, which has more than 80,000 members. InfraGard is a private non-profit organization serving as a public-private partnership between U.S. businesses and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. According to the hacker, samples from the database were posted on a forum and he requested $50,000 for the entire data.
