The Hack To Creating More Time

One of my favourite excuses until 8 years ago was
"I Don't Have The Time"
Was my go to excuse. I'm not in control, I'm a victim and I'm not going to Win.
I had to 'Knock it Off'
Truth is, I was comfortable using that excuse as it allowed me to procrastinate doing the important things that had to be done. It was easy to use.
An Escape. A Costly one I realised.
One day I got thinking about whether this excuse was really serving me.
Life after-all is not a dress rehearsal. This time on the planet is Real.
Real-Time. One Shot. No do-over. One chance. Just One.
I started to feel that I was deliberately procrastinating things for no real reason.
Just something everyone did. So I did it, to fit in. Be Busy.
All procrastination comes from a deep rooted belief of being Unworthy.
The feelings & Belief of unworthiness and non-deserving I admit, was deep rooted in my system in some way shape or form. Fashioned over the years of growing up.
Built up and re-enforced with my Life experiences & what was told to me by others who had negative programming about themselves.
That somehow a Life of My Dreams was not for me but for the others.
The Rich. The fortunate people.
That morning I realised that I was robbing myself of all the Amazing stuff this Life had to offer by using this excuse:
"I Don't Have The Time"
I was blatantly robbing my family of the life they deserved, the places we could visit together, the unbelievable food we could eat & the Time we could share.
All because I was too busy. With Busy-work. Looking Busy, Going Nowhere.
A friend of mine we'll call Bob was earning +/- US $5 Million a year in the same 24 hours a day from which I was making peanuts, really.
Not because of anything special. Bob was born bred Middle Class at best.
It's just that Bob told me
"Being Worthy and Deserving" is a "Decision"
So is Success. Being Rich or Poor is a state of Being. A Decision.
I decided to Change this Belief.
I used this affirmation hundreds of times a day
"I AM Willing to Release the Need to be Unworthy"
I AM Worthy of the very Best Life has to offer and
I Lovingly ALLOW myself to Accept it.
"I AM Safe and Deserving of Wealth & Success"
As I changed my internal Belief pattern of Self-Worth, the outer effect pattern of Procrastination and excuses like "I Don't have the Time" "It's not for me"
began to fade away.
Here is what happened:
1. No Newspapers in my home for 8 years now
(Time saved 1-2 hours)
2. No TV or cable in my home for 8 years now
(Time saved 2-4 hours)
With this time I saved I got started with Bob and team on a project that enabled ME to Leverage other people's time, potential and skills. Teach and train them how to do the same; and in a short span I was able to release myself from my corporate job which was taking up 10 hours of my day.
I attracted people who had high-self-worth and a deep Hunger to achieve something BIG on this planet, to my team. Their Time added to my Time-Bank everyday.
"Their potential became my potential"
Today I live a Life on my terms
I have Time. I Always did. I just didn't Believe back then that I was worth it.
2017 has been an Amazing year with Success .... and some problems.
All problems have a gift and I have the time-freedom to look at the problems as just gifts to be extracted from it.
"What is 2019 going to be like?"
Its going to be Amazing! Another Year of Amazing!
I Wish the Same for you.
You are worth it. It's Your Life. Re-Claim it.

7 年I agree wholeheartedly!! I get frustrated with excuses as it's about prioritising. We are all guilty of procrastination though as if not we would be perfect individuals which isn't the case but if we recognise it, we can change it. Great article!
