Habits Replace Habits

Habits Replace Habits

There’s this old wise tale that says, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.”

Except, it isn’t just a saying, but a habit.

The habit of eating an apple is something that’s repeated deliberately each day.

It’s not something that happens overnight, but rather over a period of time.

Ironically, habits are intended to replace other habits.

“It takes a good habit to break a bad habit” Melody Carlson.

For instance, a manager who tends to scold their employees in front of other employees, might instead replace that habit by pulling the person aside.

Imagine that first day.

The intention of eating that first apple, although small, over time builds great momentum.

Letting go of bad habits and replacing them with good habits is by no means a simple task. This is inspiring, Mike.
