I have been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time around some super successful people and high performers. Be it my time in the Army around high ranking leaders, Personal Training CEOs and Chairmen or just socialising with some successful people that I like to call my friends.
I'll be sharing these with a general feel on how to use these become a successful manager, team leader, or salesperson.
Give them a go and work on them each day to improve each,
- Guard your time: One of the most common challenges faced by managers, team leaders, and salespeople is managing their time effectively. It's easy to get distracted by emails, phone calls, and other people's requests. To become successful, you need to learn to guard your time and prioritise your tasks. Set clear boundaries around when you're available and when you're not. Be selective about the meetings and events you attend, and delegate tasks whenever possible. Remember that your time is valuable, so use it wisely.
- Impulse control and focus: Successful people have the ability to control their impulses and stay focused on their goals. They don't get distracted by social media, news updates, or other people's opinions. Instead, they prioritise their work and focus on the task at hand. To become successful, you need to learn how to control your impulses and develop laser-like focus. Set clear goals for yourself and create a plan to achieve them. Eliminate distractions and stay committed to your plan.
- Be a creator: Successful people are creative and always looking for ways to improve their business, products, or services. They don't just consume information, they create it. They write blog posts, create videos, develop new products, and come up with innovative ideas. To become successful, you need to become a creator too. Start by identifying areas where you can add value to your business or community. Brainstorm new ideas, and don't be afraid to take risks.
- Personal development: Successful people are always learning and growing. They invest time and resources into their personal development, attending conferences, reading books, and taking courses to improve their skills. To become successful, you need to be committed to your own personal growth. Set aside time each day or week to read, learn, and develop your skills. Attend workshops and seminars, and seek out mentorship and coaching.
- Live like athletes: Successful people treat their bodies like world-class athletes. They eat well, exercise regularly, and get enough rest. They understand the importance of staying healthy and taking care of themselves. To become successful, you need to prioritise your health and well-being too. Exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and get enough sleep. Avoid negative people and focus on positive relationships and experiences.
I hope you found these tips helpful. Remember, success is a journey, not a destination. It takes time, effort, and dedication to achieve your goals. But with the right mindset and habits, you can become a successful manager, team leader, or salesperson. Good luck!
