On HABITS
Decide -- Today, Easy, Daily
How we structure our day significantly contributes to our success in life.?The habits we choose can build a strong foundation to our life. They have been known to work?for us or against us.
Focusing on?positive habits --regular exercise, disciplines, healthy eating, intermittent reflection --can reinforce our well-being and add to our fulfillment.?
On the other hand, starting a new habit?or shifting out of?a bad habit, has its challenges.?Both may require adhering to certain ingredients that will help you?succeed:?decide what habit you want to form or change, make it easy, start today, and do it daily.
My Story
I?noticed?that most?of my good habits were?quite secure. It was when I?attempted to add another good habit?or to start something new,?I might?lose momentum.
For example,?on a busy day if I wanted to do some brief exercises at 10 am and 3 pm it was important to create a reminder chart and put it on my desk.?This would allow me to?program?it into my schedule as a regular habit.
This practice?worked out for me most of the time.?I?didn't succeed on occasion when it interfered with the?flow of my day which made?me wonder if I was putting too much on my habit list.
Should I consider setting up a new habit on days that offer me?more?flexibility?to make sure?work or life do not get in the way?
