Habits Create Success on LinkedIn and in Life!

Habits Create Success on LinkedIn and in Life!

Habits are the driving force behind all we do. Are your daily habits conducive to the outcome you seek? Successful people have successful habits. When is the last time you took a good, hard look at your habits? Are they giving you the results you seek? If not, it's time to change those habits and create new ones!

Successful people in this world CREATE successful habits. They weren't born with them. It is a process to stay habitual in their practice of these habits. So don't beat yourself up if you aren't perfect in your habits - it's not about perfection, it's about your commitment to successful habits and your commitment to the end result of those habits: success.

Let's take a look at a few habits successful people have created for themselves.

 1.) Meditation.

According to a recent article in The Huffington Post, meditation is a habit that successful people do daily. The article cites 10 "outrageously successful people" who use meditation as one of their daily practices. If you want the success of people like Oprah or Russell Simmons you may want to try it.

2.) Revenue-producing tasks get top attention.

In our line of work a successful habit is daily prospecting: making those calls regardless of how you "feel" about making those calls! Just know you will have days when you don't feel like it but maintaining your commitment to this revenue-generating habit is what will drive your business forward.

 3.) Plan ahead.

Another habit successful people have is that they plan: they plan their day the day before, they plan their month the month before. In essence they plan their future before their future happens: they create their future and are in the habit of doing so.

4.) Get to it in the morning.

Ignore your emails and everything else until you've talked that top priority, or as Brian Tracy says until you've eaten that frog. If you're unclear about what I mean when I say eat that frog, go here (https://play.simpletruths.com/movie/eat-that-frog/). In essence your frog is your most difficult task on your list for the day: make a habit of eating that frog first and you will generate energy and momentum for the rest of your day.

5.) Make time for the important things in life.

Wherever you are in your business be sure to cultivate the habit of taking time for the other things you love: your family, your friends, hobbies and anything else that gives you pleasure. Even if it's just a few minutes every day it will renew you and keep you committed.

 6.) Get up early.

I have read this over and over again - and I've experienced it personally as well. People who are the most successful in life have the habit of getting up early. There are no distractions from the outside world at 5am or 6am. Get up, meditate, exercise and get your day going early.

 7.) Embrace failure.

Fail forward. Every time you don't get the results you were aiming for, get up and assess what was missing. Then do that and push forward. Jimmy Smith, our #1 income earner in all of Isagenix, says in our business you can FAIL 90% of the time and become extremely wealthy. So embrace failure!

 8.) Choose wisely.

One additional habit you can create for yourself is to surround yourself with others who have the success you are going for: join or create a mastermind group, read about successful people you admire and study their habits. Embrace those habits.

These are just 8 habits, there are plenty more but these will get you started and revitalize you. Choose the habits you are committed to creating in your life and begin implementing them today. Remember it is a day by day process; recommit every day as if you have no past, no future and only the present. The present is your gift and you get a new one every day if you so choose to embrace it.

One of my new habits is a commitment to daily revenue producing activities on LinkedIn. I have set aside 30 minutes a day to focus solely on cultivating my network on LinkedIn. I process requests for connection and respond to them. I set appointments, endorse, and write recommendations. This one habit has created a groundswell of more leads than I can get to. It is amazing what one little habit can do for your business. For more information, on my secret LinkedIn strategy feel free to send me a message. I will introduce you to my LinkedIn coach! Have a great day, set habits and be sure to “out habit” your competition. You will find yourself leading your in your initiatives and putting pressure on those who are trying to keep up!

One of my old habits that has become “habitual” is going to the gym and working out! Daily commitment to this habit makes me feel great and accomplished. There is nothing like enjoying a workout and then attacking the rest of the day knowing that this habit is one of the last things on earth that I can control. I choose to work out and eat healthy. It has worked well for me. For more information on feeling and looking your best send me a message and I will share some of my secrets with you.

Create new habits and honor your old ones, “if they are serving you.” If they are not serving you it is time to SHIFT! Just remember, you are always 66 days away from creating a new habit that could change your life! For some it may take longer but this is a great baseline to commit to if you are serious about your new habit! Try it! You just may change the world!

Wow; good stuff! I've never tried it, but I guess I need to try meditation. I tried mediation with my first wife, but it didn't work out so well!!!! :)
