To H2, with hope!
I love new beginnings! A New Year, Month, & even the Sunrise, are all symbols of hope and a fresh start.
Today, we move one step away from the truly monstrous H1 for India, and into a new half-year. Our generation has never experienced such collective instances of grief and suffering, in personal and professional lives. Losing a dear one, collapse of business, being laid-off, are all traumatic experiences which are difficult to come out of.
And yet, when I think about the future, I find the one, and the only armour that is possibly strong enough to carry us all to the other side, is “Resilience.”
Simply put, Resilience is how we adapt to change, adversity, tragedy, stress, and anything else that puts us out of our tracks. The cause could be anything, for ups and downs in life and careers are inevitable. When we are in a dip, there are only questions.. endless ruminating about the past, or anxiety about the future.
Is it our fault? Could we have done something else? How will things come ‘back to normal’? Should we wait for time to turn itself? Should we do anything, or nothing?
Often, there are no real answers! And that can be really depressing.

But, there are 3 ways to help get back on feet.. whenever one is ready!
1.??????Be Friends with Self : Circumstances don't define us. We define, ourselves. An individual goes beyond the identity that we give to ourselves through jobs, relationships or work. It's ok to feel lost or hopeless, but don't let that overpower the sense of Self. No matter how strenuous the situation is, WE, are still wholesome, absolute, wonderful individuals, fully capable of continuing on with the rigors of life.
2.??????Be Friends with the Change : Change is not an enemy, nor it is an ally. It can be what we make of it. It is much easier to work with an ally, though. The quicker we get out of denial stage, accept the change, and understand to work towards it, the faster our recovery will be. Running away is never a solution.
3.??????Seek Support : Last, and the most important one. Support comes in different forms. Through friends, family, mentors, prayers, or even books. Reach out to those who give you strength and direction, and most importantly, positivity.?Asking for help doesn't make us weak. It makes us more Human!
