Do you ever feel like your personal goals and dreams are too big? You're not alone. I’ve felt the same way. So have Major League Baseball players, but more on that soon.

When Bryce Harper was just 13 years old, his name made it into the New York Times. The article talked about how young kids were getting unrealistic expectations for their baseball careers.

Here’s a secret you may not know.

A huge reason why people don't achieve their dreams is that they don't have a plan.?
Having a roadmap to follow will make it much easier to reach your destination.
Without a plan, it's easy to get lost or sidetracked along the way. So, take some time to sit down and figure out exactly what you need to do to make your dreams come true. Write it all down and be as specific as possible. This will give you something to reference when things get tough and help you stay on track.

Lastly, celebrate your victories along the way. Achieving your dreams is a lot like that one Miley Cyrus song; it's all about The Climb. Give yourself small rewards for reaching each milestone and savor the feeling of accomplishment. The better you get at patting yourself on the back, the easier it'll be to stay motivated and keep dreaming big!
Finally, I want to leave you with something you can do today; something you can take action on so you can start to make your dreams really happen. Listen to the full podcast here!
No matter how big or small your personal goals and dreams may be, remember that they are achievable as long as you have a plan and stay focused on your end goal. And don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back every once in a while—you deserve it!
