Dear friends and supporters of Goethe-Zentrum Kampala,

Thank you for making every artistic endeavor, cultural celebration, and linguistic exploration possible.?
Azulato Children's Festival
On Saturday 8th July, we held our annual Azulato Children’s Festival at UNCC, and it was a roaring success! With 27 facilitators providing entertainment in sports, arts, and the sciences, over 2,490 children enjoyed the educational activities offered. They played football and lacrosse, read poems, told stories, and took part in science experiments, while enjoying fun tunes provided by DJ Breezy.?
A special appreciation to our partners who contributed to the day’s success? such as MC Pablo Kimuli, host of Pablo and Kids on NBS TV, Davelix MC, Soccer Without Borders, Jibu Water, Jesa Dairy, Psalms Food, Colorsy Coatings, and Red Cross Uganda.?
Ngalabi Short Film Festival
We hosted our annual short film festival where we showcased films from East Africa, Africa and Europe.
We screened films across diverse genres including experimental, drama, animation, comedy and thriller. Q&A sessions allowed interaction with filmmakers. We partnered with the British Council and Docubox-The East African Documentary Film Fund to add spice to our festival curation with 'Shorts, Shorts, and Shots,' ending with a relaxed party.
Adjani Salmon in Uganda
We embarked on our International Cultural Exchange Programme by inviting BAFTA Award-winning actor Adjani Salmon to teach two masterclasses on acting and screenwriting.
We partnered with the British Council which hosted the screenwriting masterclasses at their premises and we ended the week with a delightful film screening of two episodes from Adjani's show "Dreaming Whilst Black."
