The Gyan (Knowledge) War: Are You Drowning in Opinions Too?

The Gyan (Knowledge) War: Are You Drowning in Opinions Too?

Are you also a reel fan?

Do you scroll through Instagram only to crash your algorithm with yet another reel on how to?manifest?your dream life, or what?astrology sign?is responsible for your latest bad mood?

I feel you. It’s a never-ending loop. One minute you’re watching a dog doing tricks, and the next you’re knee-deep in advice from a self-proclaimed health guru.

Before you know it, your feed is filled with thousands of people giving gyan (knowledge) on every aspect of life.

If you follow one video on healthy eating, suddenly your explore page becomes a battlefield of keto enthusiasts, vegan warriors, and intermittent fasting champions—each one more convincing than the last.

If you're like me, it starts to feel like everyone is fighting to tell you?the?truth about everything. And that’s exactly what I want to talk about. If you're feeling the same overwhelm, keep reading, because this Gyan War is real, and we’re all caught in the crossfire.

Social Media: The Gyan War’s Playground

Let’s start with the biggest culprit: social media.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that every platform has turned into a battleground for opinions. It’s like everyone suddenly became an expert on?something, and they’re all determined to prove their knowledge is superior.

Scroll through Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube, and you’ll see it—the war of who knows best, whether it’s about fitness, finances, or finding your spiritual path.

I’ve been sucked into this war too.

One minute I’m looking for workout inspiration, and suddenly my feed is filled with debates on the best diet plan or the right way to meditate. Everyone’s fighting to share their piece of gyan, and if you’re not careful, you start to believe them all.

It’s overwhelming. And while it’s great that information is accessible, the sheer volume of conflicting advice has turned social media into a chaotic knowledge battleground.

Religion and Spirituality: Who’s Got the “Right” Way to Worship?

Religion and spirituality have long been subjects of debate, but in the age of Instagram influencers and YouTube sermons, the Gyan War here is fierce.

I’ve seen everything—from traditional religious leaders preaching about the importance of rituals to modern spiritual influencers talking about connecting to a higher self in your unique way.

And honestly, it can get confusing.

I mean, who do you listen to?

The ones who tell you to follow ancient rituals down to the letter, or the spiritualists who say it’s all about your personal journey?

One second you’re being told that chanting mantras will bring peace, and the next, someone’s telling you to let go of all formalities and “just vibe with the universe.”

It’s a classic Gyan War—everyone has a different path, but they all want you to follow theirs.

Health and Fitness: The Most Confusing Frontline

Oh boy, if you’ve ever tried following a fitness routine or a diet plan, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

The Gyan War here is brutal. One moment you’re convinced that keto is the way to go, and the next, you’re being told that carbs are essential for brain function.

I’ve tried a bit of everything, and let me tell you, it feels like a never-ending circle of contradictions.

Take social media fitness gurus—they all seem so sure about their methods. Whether it’s fasting, yoga, gym, or a plant-based diet, every influencer I follow is dead-set that their way is the best way.

And it’s not just fitness, even mental health advice gets caught up in the Gyan War. One person is advocating for mindfulness, while another is pushing you towards therapy apps.

You get lost in a sea of opinions, each more compelling than the last.

It gets to the point where I can’t tell what’s genuinely good advice and what’s just noise.

And I bet you’ve been there too. It’s exhausting to keep up with all these health “gyans,” especially when they start to contradict each other.

Life Coaching: Do We All Need a Guru?

Another front in the Gyan War is life coaching.

Have you noticed how life coaches have exploded online? Every day, I come across a new person who claims to have the secret formula for happiness, success, or finding your true self.

And they all have?their own?way of doing it.

Some say you need to manifest your dreams into reality, while others focus on hustle culture—grind until you make it, they say.

It feels like everyone’s suddenly a guru, dishing out life advice as if they’ve unlocked the mysteries of the universe. And trust me, I’ve seen a lot of this stuff.

There’s a coach for every type of life problem you can imagine—relationships, career success, personal growth.

But here’s the catch: they all tell you something different. It’s another battlefield where I’m just left thinking, “Does anyone actually have the answers, or is it just a guessing game?”

I’ve tried following a few life coaches myself.

And while some genuinely offer helpful insights, others seem to be riding the wave of the latest self-help trends. It’s like the more confused you are about your life, the more this space profits off you.

Welcome to another dimension of the Gyan War—where personal development becomes a marketing scheme.

Marketing: The War for Your Attention

How can we forget this one? People have even created businesses around it!

Speaking of marketing, let’s talk about how brands have turned knowledge into a commodity. Have you noticed how every company is suddenly a thought leader?

Everyone’s pumping out content on “how to succeed,” whether it’s in business, personal finance, or productivity.

I can’t scroll for two minutes without seeing a webinar ad, a whitepaper, or an eBook promising to share the ultimate gyan on how to improve your life.

But here’s the thing: a lot of it feels like noise. Brands are fighting in their own Gyan War, trying to convince you that?they know better than their competitors.

They promise the secret to success, but half the time, it’s just a tactic to get you to buy their product or service.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve grown tired of all these “ultimate guides” that rarely live up to the hype.

It’s a battlefield of clickbait headlines, where businesses and influencers battle for your attention, each claiming they hold the key to your problems.

But the reality? It’s just marketing wrapped in the guise of expertise.

Astrology: Stars, Signs, and Confusion

Astrology has become a huge part of the Gyan War too. If you’ve scrolled through TikTok or Instagram recently, you’ve probably seen those viral astrology reels.

I admit, I find them entertaining—but there’s always a moment where I think, “Do these people actually know what they’re talking about?”

It’s funny how something as ancient as astrology is now part of this war. One astrologer says Mercury in retrograde is to blame for your bad day, while another tells you that the stars aren’t everything and you control your own destiny.

I’ve seen some pretty wild claims, and the more I see, the more confused I get. Who’s right? Who’s making this stuff up?

I love a good horoscope like the next person, but let’s be honest, the astrology space is another battlefield in the Gyan War, and it’s becoming harder to tell which interpretation is credible and which one is just a trendy TikTok.

How I’m Learning to Navigate the Gyan War

Look, I’m no expert either. But what I’ve learned from being caught in the middle of this Gyan War is that it’s crucial to take a step back and evaluate what works for?you.

Not everything that pops up on my feed is worth following, and I bet the same goes for you. It’s easy to get lost in the noise, but I’ve started to approach it differently.

Here’s what I’m trying to do:

1.?Be Skeptical and Selective

Not every piece of advice is meant for me—and that’s okay. I’m learning to take everything I see on social media with a grain of salt. Being selective about what I choose to believe and follow has made all the difference.

2.?Look for Credible Sources

Whether it’s health, spirituality, or life coaching, I now prioritize advice from people with real credentials and experience. If someone’s whole expertise is based on having a million followers, I tend to be more cautious.

3.?Trust My Own Experience

I’ve found that, at the end of the day, no one knows me better than I do. Following the gyan of others can only take me so far. Sometimes, trusting my gut and learning from my own experiences is the best guide.

4.?Don’t Get Sucked Into Every Trend

The Gyan War thrives on trends—especially in health and self-help. But trends come and go, and I’ve realized that sticking to what works for me is more sustainable than chasing the latest fad.

Conclusion: Drowning in Gyan?

So here we are, back to the reels and endless scrolling. I get it—it’s easy to crash your Insta algorithm with diet tips, spiritual gyan, or life coaching mantras. It feels like everyone has something to say, and it’s all competing for your attention. But if you’re feeling as overwhelmed as I do, just know this: not every battle in the Gyan War is worth fighting.

If you're tired of the noise like me, maybe it’s time to rethink how we consume knowledge. The Gyan War isn’t going anywhere, but we don’t have to get lost in it. Let's reclaim our feeds, our minds, and our sanity by being smarter, more selective, and trusting our own judgment over the never-ending flood.

Happy Scrolling! ??
