Is this guy nuts?

Helping business owners achieve their profit goals through simpler, better marketing.
Between you and I, I got increasingly nervous as I watched the clock on my laptop screen near 1pm.
I glanced up again.
12:53pm.
I knew he'd be rocking up at any minute.
I was sat in Bill's in Chichester at the time, waiting for a guy called Jay Alderton to turn up for our meeting.
Honestly, I don't know why I felt nervous.
It was a run of the mill meeting.
We'd talk about copy, how I could help, and he'd either say 'yes' or 'no'.
I'd done dozens of them, and I'd gotten pretty good and bringing new clients on board.
But the difference with Jay is I'd been following him on social media for 2 or 3 years before I first reached out with a cold email.
The subject line, 'Steve, get the margarine. And where's my crane, goddammit?', still gets brought up today.
And considering he had about half a million followers across the various platforms, I figured he probably wouldn't even be bothered about sending emails.
We had lunch. He had 2 steaks. Considering the sheer size of him, I was unsurprised.
He talked me through what he was doing and what he had planned for the next 12 months. Email was a BIG part of it.
We agreed to get started with a test run. He had a launch coming up, and asked me if I'd write the emails for it.
They were a runaway success, and we've worked together ever since. Most recently on his 6-figure Media Mastery launch.
When people question email as a marketing medium, I get it.
People think it's outdated. The second-rate alternative to Facebook or Instagram.
But yet, here I was, writing the emails for a guy with the biggest social media audience of everyone I knew.
Here's the thing.
Marketing is all about attention.
If you can get your audience's attention, you win the game.
And in my short training, I explain how over the past few years I've helped dozens of business owners to grab the attention of their audiences so that they can create more effective marketing that, quite simply, creates more customers.
All using email marketing.
