Guy Giard Morning winter run -9°C / 16°F December 30th 2021
Last night friends came over, so it was a late night and an early rise. For a third day in a row I did my 5k 30 min non-stop morning run. Normally i space them every other day and got a few learnings from this.
With run-walk-run I can go further and longer, and I think during my 30 seconds breaks I can relax, take in deep good breaths, stop the wind chill factor, ameliorate blood circulation to warm myself, keep my heart rate down and just enjoy the great outdoors. Non-stop is shorter time wise, gets my heart pumping and get into a physical challenge to push myself. A sprinter is not the same as a marathon. I also used to do high intensity weight training, and resting days were essential to have the body heal itself. I think doing both is fine for variety, and to know the demands and results are different! How do you run? Do you notice differences in the demands and results of your running styles. I'd love to have your input.
One more day to go in 2021. 2022 is going to be great, for new discoveries and breaking new grounds. Love you all xxx Guy
