GUVNL Concludes 250 MW Solar Auction At ?2.60 Per kWh;CERC Approves 50 MW GNA Sharing For RIL Subsidiary and More...

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) has successfully completed an auction for 250 MW of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The auction included a greenshoe option for an additional 250 MW. The winning tariff for all awarded capacity was ?2.60 per kWh.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) filed a petition with the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Cerc) seeking approval to allow its subsidiaries and group companies to use its existing General Network Access (GNA) connectivity at the Jam Khambhaliya inter-state transmission system (ISTS) substation. The petition was filed under Section 79 of the Electricity Act, 2003, and relevant GNA Regulations, 2022.


The Central Electricity Authority (Cea) , under the Ministry of Power, has issued comprehensive guidelines for the usage and sharing of fiber cores of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) and Underground Fiber Optic (UGFO) cables in power system applications. These guidelines have been developed with the input of a committee led by the Member (Power Systems) of CEA, including representatives from the Central Transmission Utility, State Transmission Utilities, Grid Controller of India Ltd, Transmission Service Providers, and other key stakeholders.


The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for the development of grid-connected floating solar photovoltaic (FSPV) projects with battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Lakshadweep. The project aims to enhance renewable energy capacity on the islands of Agatti and Kavaratti, reducing dependence on conventional power sources.
