With a beautiful greeting and all encompassing welcome, I am finally here: Guten Morgen Frankfurt! This is probably my favourite place to start the year. For our industry, I think this is where it all begins: at Ambiente. Trip after trip, my returning visits feel like the start to the trend forecast on a global scale and I am so fortunate I get to be a part of it each year. It makes me feel so at home here.

The event is so much more than just a fair. It showcases an array of everything you could think of. The market of today and tomorrow will focus on all segments and sales channels. I am looking forward to the Dining, Giving and Living areas, which offer an array of products unrivaled at any other fair. Experience innovative design and the latest trends. With the latest design trends and innovations and our partner country presentation, around 136,000 trade visitors from 143 countries benefit from a forward-looking market overview and a range of goods unique in terms of breadth and depth. In 2016, more than 4,386 exhibitors from over 95 nations showcased their latest product ideas.
