Guru Purnima- Gratitude to my teachers

 Its 'Guru Purnima' today- a day to honour one's Guru (teacher). It is the day when disciple wakes up in his/her fullness and in the wakefulness s/he can’t be but grateful. 

Sharing my personal reflections and deep sense of gratitude for my 'Gurus' in life. I thank my creators, my parents, for not just giving me life but also letting me live one, being authentically me. Pa & Ma, gave me the greatest gift - they taught me to believe in myself and be fearless. Something I will will be eternally grateful for.

I thank my teachers for being my guides and teaching me the skills to not just survive but thrive. Thank you for constantly pushing me to get out of my comfort zone.

I thank my husband, Sumit, for being my pillar of strength, the wind beneath my wing, the pep in my voice, the bounce in my step, the love in my heart, the courage to stand against the tide, and my happy place. Many things I would never have done without his encouragement and support.  

I thank my son, Namit, for giving me the honour of creating life, for teaching me patience and for truly showing me what motherhood and unconditional love feels like. Something I would never have experienced without you.

I thank Sri Sri for being my spiritual guide in my inward journey and for teaching me to look for the answers within.

I thank my uncle who gave me the ambition and clarity of who I wanted to be professionally. He lit a fire in me which continues to burn for last 30+ years.

I thank Prema for giving me early opportunities in my professional life and teaching me the virtues of kindness and empathy. Thank you for bringing the greatest joy of ‘giving’ in my life.

I thank my Teams at Genesis BCW for teaching me to take pride in what I do, keep striving, pushing my boundaries and to never settle for less.

I thank, Genesis Foundation and GF Kids for teaching me how to dream to make a difference and be pursue my purpose passionately.

I thank The Outstanding Speakers' Bureau (TOSB) team for teaching me what it takes to make dreams come true.

I thank my In-laws for teaching me how to get through my lows with courage and grace.

I thank Papa for teaching me to 'own my belt'. And above all for teaching me to be a better version of myself in every facet of my life.

To you all I say that I firmly believe "When one finds their Guru, one conquers half the world. Thank you for taking me as your disciple even if you didn't know you were doing so".
