Gunshots struck the Midtown tower that houses the North American headquarters of financial services giant Invesco Ltd. last Saturday evening, shattering windows and causing broken glass to rain down from its upper floors. Doug Sams with a major scoop: Fast-growing accounting juggernaut Aprio is selling a 'substantial' stake to Boston-based private equity firm Charlesbank. Charlesbank evaluated seven firms in the sector, but Aprio emerged as the top target.

Tyler Wilkins reports that the City of Atlanta leads metro Atlanta's population boom for the second year in a row. More than 532,000 people now live in Atlanta, which grew by roughly 2.1% over the past year. Georgia's largest city picked up new residents at a quicker pace than any of the individual counties in the region
