Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival 2023 Highlights

The Dubai Autodrome echoed with the thunderous roar of classic racecar engines as the third edition of the Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival unfolded over the weekend. This celebration of motor racing’s glory years showcased a symphony of speed and skill across four racing categories.

The ‘'70s-themed motorsports event brought back some amazing memories with period race cars and legends who raced them. Let’s start with the Dubai GP race winners of the weekend:

Le Mans 00s Category

• Steve Brooks (2010 Peugeot 90X)?

Le Mans 60s Category?

• Kyle Tilley and Nicolas Manassian (1965 Ford GT40)

Formula One? 70s+ Category?

• Stuart Hall (1981 March 821) on Saturday,?
• Mike Cantillon (1981 Williams FW07C) on Sunday

Le Mans 80s+ Category?

• Iconic Racing's 1990 Porsche 962 on Saturday?
• Arthur Mathieu and Bernhard Van Orange-Nassau (1991 Cougar C28LM) on Sunday

Apart from these four categories, the historic motorsport event also included demonstration runs of Formula 1 cars from the 1990s. These V12 screamers were driven by Stefan Johansson and Nicholas Prost.

Also, Gulf Historic Dubai GP fans were treated to a nostalgic sight as four-time Formula One World Champion Alain Prost raced his 1991 Ferrari 643.
