Gulabi Saree - This is unreal
We organized the Kinnar Mahotsav on the 15th December for the transgender community at Pune. The event was graced by many prominent personalities. The day was filled with talent, love, laughter and blessings. Though I was busy with the execution of the event with back-to-back performances, medical camp, meals, artist coordination etc, somewhere I was missing the presence of my mother Late Padamshree Dr. Sindhutai Sapkal (Mai). Doing such a big event at Pune and not having her with me was pinching my heart.
The day went better than planned and somewhere towards the end of the event we started distributing dry rations to all the community members at the event. The team was having the distribution done and I was there speaking with a few guests. Suddenly I hear “Mala Pan Ration deya na” (Give me ration too) I heard the team say no to the person and I was a bit surprised as to why they would refuse anyone. I looked behind and saw an old lady (maybe from the nearby village) asking for a ration kit and the team maybe refusing to give as the rations were for the transgender community. I didn’t realize the miracle that was taking place at that time, but somehow I intervened and immediately asked to team to give her whatever she needs and got back to my conversation with the guests.

After a few minutes I saw a figure at the exit gate with a ration kit in her hand looking at me. She was in a pink saree and She just smiled at me and left. I immediately realized it was my mother Sindhutai who had come to bless me and attend my event. I searched everones phone that maybe someone has clicked a photo of her and I am so glad I found it.
Thank you, Mai, for being by my side.
