Guitar x Al Di Meola x Inspiration
Al Di Meola is one of the best Jazz Fusion Guitar players in the world. He used to play with Chick Correa back in the day before I was born.
I've seen Al Di Meola on two occasions and he's an absolute legend. The first time I saw him was at Boulder Station Casino in Las Vegas, NV, sitting front and center with my folks in a small room, so close to the band one could almost reach out and touch the guitar. Al had just released his album "Diabolic Inventions and Seduction For Solo Guitar" and introduced his badass French accordion player as a new member of the band. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
The second and last time I saw Al was in Northern California, in Folsom. It was in a college auditorium not too far from Folsom prison, where Johnny Cash so famously spent time playing for prisoners. "At Folsom Prison" was made and the rest was history.
