This framework focuses on what the message says, which platform is used, when the message is sent, and how it suits the person receiving it.

Content: Your message should be clear, brief, correct, complete, and friendly.

Platform: Pick the right digital tool for your message. Email might be good for formal talks, while Slack or Microsoft Teams might work for quick updates.

Timing: Send your message at the right time. Think about time zones, work hours, and how urgent the message is.

Recipient Considerations: Shape your message based on what your audience prefers. Some might like text, while others might prefer video or audio messages.

How to Put It to Work

Platform Guidelines: Make guidelines that tell which platforms are best for different kinds of communication within your organisation.

Training and Resources: Give training and resources to employees to help them use digital communication tools well.

Empower Leaders: Ask leaders to set an example by using the Digital Communication Framework and talking with employees on various platforms.
