Guide your community towards high-quality conversations with pinned comments

Have you ever wanted to pin an answer to a certain question that a majority o people keep asking on the comments section. Now there is a solution for that. LinkedIn has made it possible for you to pin comments.

Set the tone for the conversation you want on your brand's post. Pin any comment to the top of the thread to steer the conversation toward each subject.

You can always change the topic of the conversation. Talk to everyone in your neighbourhood at all times.

The thread of your response appears beneath the pinned post when you respond to a comment.

• You can respond to other members' comments and leave comments on posts.
• You also have the ability to pin and unpin comments.
• Members can turn off comments on their posts. Because of this, you won't be able to comment.
• Members' connections are the only ones who can comment on their posts.
• This will prevent you from commenting if you are not a first-degree connection.
• When users comment on a post they wrote, an Author tag appears next to their name.
• Members can only pin one comment at a time. The author must pin or unpin the comment.

To pin a comment:

• Click the More icon in the upper-right corner of the comment that you want to pin.
• Click Pin comment. The comment will appear at the top of the thread and be marked Pinned comment. A message appears stating that the comment was successfully pinned.

To unpin a comment:

• Click the More icon in the upper-right corner of the comment that you want to unpin.
• Click Unpin comment. A message appears stating that the comment was successfully unpinned.
