As the year winds down, businesses that have experienced a hectic period are likely looking forward to a well-deserved festive break. Before shutting down operations, follow these simple steps to ensure your floor cleaning equipment is ready for action when you reopen in the new year.
Thoroughly Clean Your Machines
During the busy lead-up to the holidays, cleaning machines often work overtime. Before storing them away, take the time to clean the filters of your super or?heavy duty sweepers thoroughly to prevent dirt build-up, which could cause filter damage and lead to costly repairs. Inspect and clean all parts to ensure your equipment remains in top condition.
Charge and Maintain Batteries
If your floor scrubbing machine or sweeper operates on batteries, fully charge the batteries before storage. Leaving the battery flat can make it difficult for chargers to detect any voltage, preventing proper recharging on return. Avoid leaving the machine connected to the charger for prolonged periods.
Empty and Flush Scrubber Water Tanks
