After the legendary success of Chatgpt, Sam Altman's AI tech company OpenAI has launched a full-stake search engine SearchGPT that has been the “talk of the people” in the past few months. But not quite everybody is talking about this.

While the history of online search is going to face phenomenal changes within the next few years or maybe faster, as a solopreneur, SEO enthusiast, and with immense curiosity on how it is going to impact the way of searching and the results always been knocking at my mind with a hooded face because I know very little about this product if I am not wrong many of us know very little about that.

Sadly, we can’t ask Sam about the algorithm of his new product. Nor are we going to accept everything that is told.

SearchGPT and ChatGPT is Not The?Same

Though both of the names have GPT (generative pre-trained transformer) in common they are not the same. In fact, they are quite different from each other.?

Surprisingly even after a thousand years, the quote is highly relatable to how ChatGPT works. It processes the user prompt which may be a question or a normal greeting. Then it replies based on that prompt. If you write, “Hi Chat” it will reply using common terms that are used in daily life.?

In the image below I have asked several times before taking a screenshot and, understandably, chat is quite frequently changing the answers, while if you do the same thing with humans they won’t be answering you in the same way, an average human being would take a moment why are you asking again and again.

Here we have established logically that as a machine-learned model, chatGPT may have more data stored within it but It does not use the same intelligence as the human brain.

What is SearchGPT?

Here comes another product of openAI, the SearchGPT. As just been released on 26 July 2024 it is still not quite established as "debunked" by the search engine experts. However, the users have found the basic difference that SeachGPT can figure out the user intent in a search query.

SearchGPT is an AI-powered search engine that combines the strengths of traditional search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and Duck Duck Go with the advanced conversational abilities of large language models. It delivers answers to user search queries using real-time information from across the internet.

With very little information available about its exact algorithm, users have claimed that the search result page presented by this AI-powered search engine is far more precise compared to its prime competitor Google.

Even if you find these cycles as not proofed, Just think normally, if Google finds 10 newspaper websites as the world’s top 10, would searcGPT show another completely different 10 newspaper websites in their Top 10 results? The answer remains negative. As that would not be relevant to the users and often can be wrong in terms of the integrity of the results.
