Erosion is the action of surface processes (such as water flow or wind) that removes soil, small rock, or dissolved material from one location on the Earth's crust, and then transports it to another location where it is deposited. In general, slopes that are long, steep (5 percent plus), and composed of highly erodible (silty) soils require more protection than shorter, flatter slopes of less erodible soil.

GTI GX Coir mat is a composite fabric comprising a layer of biodegradable material placed in between and mechanically bonded to two layers of net made of polymer. It is used to minimize the effects of water erosion on slopes and embankments.

GTI? GX Open Weave Coir Mat

GTI? Open Weave Coir mat is made of machine spun bristle coir twines open weave structure. It helps control soil erosion by acting as a ground cover. As a ground cover, it reduces the flow velocity of runoff water by forming check dams with the help of net structured strands of coir mat in firm contact with the soil, which absorb the impact of water flow and resist washing down keeping the soil intact.

Coir mat degrades naturally & forms mulch that fosters quick vegetative growth. Choosing the right type of Coir mat and plant species plays a critical role in achieving effective results.

GTI GX Jute Geotextiles (JGT) is a natural variant of man-made geotextiles loosely called ‘Geo-synthetics’.   • GTI? 3D Geo-composite Reinforced Geomat

GTI? 3D Geo-composite Geomat are polypropylene erosion control reinforced with double twisted steel wire mesh inserted into the 3D structure during the manufacturing process. It is designed for the protection and growing of grass on slopes subject to surface erosion.

The three-dimensional structure is purposely engineered to trap a layer of topsoil, thus avoiding rainfall erosion by both sheltering the surface against the impact of raindrops and restricting the movement of the soil particles. The DT mesh provided tensile strength to the mat making it robust to install.
