GST on ready to move property.

In India, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on ready-to-move properties is currently levied at a rate of 5%. This tax applies to properties that have obtained a completion certificate from the relevant authorities and are ready for possession.

However, there are some exceptions to this rule. For example, if the property is purchased by an individual for the purpose of residential use and the value of the land is less than 1/3 of the total value of the property, then the GST rate will be 1%. And if the property is purchase under Affordable housing scheme then GST is not charged

It is important to note that GST is applicable only on the value of the property, and not on the stamp duty or registration charges.
