The CBIC received request seeking clarification on applicability of Social Welfare Surcharge on goods exempted from Custom Duties. Now, the CBIC issued to clarify that the amount of Social Welfare Surcharge (SWS) payable would be ‘Nil’ in cases where the aggregate of customs duties (which form the base for computation of SWS) is zero even though SWS has not been exempted. ? ? ?
The last date of submitting applications under MEIS, SEIS, ROSCTL, ROSL and 2% additional ad hoc incentive has been further extended. Earlier the extended date was 31.01.2022 and it has been further extended till 28.02.2022. In this regard, the notification has been issued. ? ? ? ?
The Director General of Foreign Trade has issued notification to revise the export policy of Syringes. Now, the revised export policy of all kinds of syringes has been made “Free” from earlier policy of restricted category with immediate effect.
