I believe that #Scaling frameworks for Agility are so popular because we still have a tremendous need to stick to our illusion of control, in the midst of the #VUCA world that makes a planetary demonstration. Industrialisation and productivism were a success story of the 20th century. In the 21st century, we inherited their side effects like climate change. In economy ecosystem, trying to #scale an Agile given model at an Enterprise level is like intensive agriculture. Intensive agriculture at the end exhausts the earth, and scaling frameworks exhaust people. With these thoughts in mind, a project was born in my mind: I wanted to define an Agile framework that supports organic growth of Agility rather than scaling, aka sustainable organic agriculture over intensive / industrial agriculture. This is how the Agile Organisations Wholeness Framework was born.
I started to write about it on my blog. It is in a "Work In Progress" state, I feel there is a lot to cover. So I decided to release it in iterations.
And you, what is your experience with scaling frameworks?

4 年As promised, I have developed further the model. Please check the new paragraphs on Developing a Psychological Safe Space and the definition of the 4 dimensions of the model : individual/ collective and Inner/External. How much sense does all this #AGILE Organic #growth in your organisation make? Your feedbacks always welcome.

4 年Whether people risk exhaustion has nothing to do with frameworks. This is about mindset and behavior. No framework is good or bad. A framework is just a set of principles and practices that either fit a certain context or not. I see no point in debating frameworks or scaling practices. Discuss mindset and behavior. Therein lies the key.

4 年Oana Juncu Looks really promising. Maybe it would be even more powerful if it were not... ehm... framed as a "framework," wouldn't it? A framework always gives me the idea of a constraining cage! And to make it even more relevant... why not drop "Agile" altogether. "Agile Fatigue" is real. If I may suggest, what about "Human Organisations Wholeness Pathway" - After all it is a journey for all of us. (Besides, since you asked: "scaling frameworks" just do not work. :)

4 年Je crois à toute approche qui est organique et basée sur le contexte. Les approches comme SAFe ne sont ni organiques, ni contextuelles... alors! Je suis totalement en accord avec l’Agile Organizations Wholeness Framework.
