Yesterday, I was having a conversation with my friend Scrum Master. We were discussing how to bring fresh thoughts to Scrum events and help the team towards the path of exploration. A thought came to my mind when my friend discussed Daily Scrum. I told him it is a replanning event, why can't we help the team to embrace GROW coaching model for an effective conversation. My friend became curious and we discussed more on GROW model in Scrum Events.
Goal - More focus towards short term goal called SprintGoal and long term goal called ProductGoal
Reality - Checking to explore the real-time progress and hindrances in achieving our Sprint Goal
Options - Sprint Backlog is nothing but various experiments and options to validate the hypothesis.
Will - It brings the sense of ownership and responsibility by taking required action
As John Whitmore said #Coaching helps the person to learn rather than teaching them. When a Scrum master plays the Coaching Stance, he/she can unlock the team's potential to maximize their performance by creating an engaging environment for the people to be their own self and become Self-managed ones.
Just an experiment! Waiting for my friend's feedback :)

3 年Wont call it Growth mindset, though the model is a good conversation driver. Thank you for sharing.
