What is passion? What does growing your career “in passion” look like?

Let’s talk about this week’s superstar, Alicia Guidry!

Alicia is one of SpineZone’s stellar billing specialists. She shared some of her story with us… and we’re excited to share it with you. If there’s one thing we learned about Alicia from her story, it’s that she’s passionate about adapting and moving forward!

Her favorite quote is from The Incredibles:

Let’s see how Alicia embodies this philosophy, shall we?

Alicia began her healthcare career by working in chiropractic offices in Texas, followed by North Carolina. After moving from North Carolina to California she found SpineZone and she told us it was a game changer in many ways. She joined SpineZone as a Patient Services Representative at what once was our Vista location. Alicia made this career decision only one month before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Then everything paused for a large amount of the country.

When things began opening up again, SpineZone had an opening for a lead Patient Services Representative. Since Alicia was focused on her "now," she applied herself towards the opportunity. Alicia was not afraid to put herself out there and level up; therefore, you guessed it... Alicia landed the role!

Alicia was the PSR Lead for 2 years before taking maternity leave. While she was on leave, she told us that she hoped with fingers crossed that a great remote position would open up at SpineZone. Lucky for both SpineZone and Alicia, the perfect position opened up. A remote billing position became available so Alicia did what she knows best, lived in the now, applied herself to the position, and sure enough... she landed it.?

When telling us her story and sharing her passions with us, Alicia said, “I’m so thankful that I get to keep SpineZone with me wherever I go. With my husband in the Marine Corps, we move a lot, and I sincerely appreciate the ability to take my job with me.”

Alicia is also passionate about practicing archery (how cool is that?) and watching the Atlanta Braves play ball. She says she'd love to go back to school at some point for radiology, another passion of hers. Her friends describe her as loyal and compassionate, and all of us at SpineZone are honored to have Alicia as a part of our team.
