Growing Your Bamboo Tree!!
In China, they grow a bamboo tree, commonly known as the Chinese bamboo tree. When they sow the seed in the ground and water it, nothing happens until the end of the first year. They continue to water it and nurture it, but nothing happens until the end of the second year. It does not germinate at the end of the third year either, but the person who grows it has to keep watering it, fertilizing it, and taking care of it. You will be surprised that nothing happens even until the end of the fourth year.
Then, in the fifth year, suddenly something miraculous and incredible happens. Within a week it grows up to 90 feet tall! This is nature at its most amazing.
People who grow other trees get the result within a season. They are able to enjoy their crops/plants/trees within a couple of seasons, but here is a tree that does not even show up until the fifth year, but suddenly shoots up to 90 feet in just one week!
The question now is: did the Chinese bamboo tree grow in one week or in 5 years and 1 week? The answer is obvious because if the person planting the Chinese bamboo had stopped caring for it, watering it, and fertilizing it during the time it did not show up, the wonderful bamboo tree would have died in the ground.
But if you see someone who grows a tree and has nothing to show for it by the end of the fourth year, and still takes care of the bare ground - watering and caring for it - you will either make fun of the person or call him crazy! The reason is that you act from the point of view of your mind - you judge things based on your way of thinking and your beliefs.
Being successful in life is a lot like growing a Chinese bamboo tree. You have nothing to show for many years, and people around you start making fun of you. They call you a fool, idiot, and urge you to give up, and I say keep your faith in what you grow because they do not see what you see... your bamboo tree is spreading its roots to support the imminent tremendous growth that is bound to come. Sooner or later you will see the result, but you must believe in your bamboo tree.
What other people think of you is not your business, it is their business. It has nothing to do with your business. Focus on your own growth and success. One day you will reap the results.
